Firstronic is an award-winning electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider capable of providing comprehensive outsourcing at both the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and box build/systems integration level.
We have taken a holistic approach to Lean manufacturing philosophy and our synchronous flow operational model gives us industry leading metrics in quality, throughput, inventory turns and cost—reducing order lead-times to days. Our customers benefit from greater schedule flexibility, a highly competitive cost structure and a quality system focused on eliminating defect opportunities.
This approach has been so successful that our headquarters facility in Grand Rapids, MI has been named an IndustryWeek Best Plant and in 2017 Circuits Assembly Magazine named Firstronic its EMS Company of the Year.
Our focus on Lean principles has also driven a focus on systems which provides a high level of real-time operational visibility. This has provided us with a strong foundation for implementing Industry 4.0 strategies in our equipment. Our equipment investments include SMT lines, which self-monitor process flow and adjust processes automatically or notify a team member as inspection equipment detects small changes in processed PCBAs. Our Plex Online system provides our team and customers with 24/7 visibility into project status. Our strong systems focus also provides a robust solution for device history recordkeeping, quality data collection and enforced routing.
The efficiencies generated through our Lean approach to manufacturing have kept our Grand Rapids, MI facility very cost competitive. That said, many of our customers need to manufacture near their end markets. Our global network of facilities includes a manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico and additional facility options in China, France, Germany, Poland and Tunisia via joint venture and/or strategic alliance partners. We have an outstanding track record in simultaneously launching projects in multiple facilities for customers with global manufacturing requirements.
In addition to engineering and manufacturing expertise, our systems and skills in program management, test strategy development, materials management and logistics, minimize your company’s risk of supply chain interruptions.
We also have an established track record supporting projects in other mission critical industries including:
Our global purchasing experience enables us to eliminate supply chain risks. Our procurement group has also developed extensive bonding systems for inventory controls with a particular strength in commodity management. Couple that with our in-house engineering capability that includes design, test and DFX, and cutting edge manufacturing equipment, and we can support virtually any customer requirement.
